Review
What Our Lovely Readers Say!I have read several books on Bipolar Disorder and this is one of the best book. It really is amazing, Lamia Islam writes beautifully and from an interesting perspective as both a clinician and researcher. It’s mostly focused on her personal experiences.
Poetic and lyrical, this book was hard to put down. I thought I knew what BPD was all about, but this book opened my eyes to the difficulty a person with BPD has with drug effects and loss of energy and creativeness that is present in the hypomanic stages.
This is not necessarily a book for someone who is bipolar to read. But I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has a person in his or her life who is bipolar. It is well-written and honest.
A big thank you to Lamia Islam.
